This scene is the artist's interpretation of the co-starring vehicles of the cult TV show "The Rockford Files," starring James Garner.
Scrupulous anti-hero, Jim Rockford's Pontiac Firebird Esprit and Jim's father, Rocky's GMC 4x4 flanking that beautiful corroded and rusty trailer (a 1959 Nashua mobile home) completes the scene in the ocean-front parking lot at 29 Cove Road in Malibu, California. The trailer actually sat in that spot during the show's years, adjacent to a pier and a restaurant (The Sand Castle now known as the Paradise Cove Beach Cafe).
The show was a gearhead's delight with many vehicles of the day from air-cooled VW Beetles to Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars and many other exotics chasing and being chased by the private eye around Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Mountains and the Mojave Desert.
The show ran from 1974 to 1980 and included 8 TV movies up to 1999. Still in great demand, "The Rockford Files," by season, is available on DVD and on Netflix Instant Play and Hulu.
About the print... compare sizes
This giclee print is easy-to-frame. It fits into a standard-size ready-made frame you can purchase right off the shelf at your favorite store in the USA and all countries that sell frames in inches. The frame size is the same as the print size.
About the canvas...
The canvas giclee is printed on genuine canvas with a state-of-the-art protective top-coating, and is rolled-up inside an industrial strength shipping tube. Your local picture-framer can then staple the canvas to stretcher bars and frame it, if you so desire.
