Valentino Rossi riding his Honda NSR500 with the famous "Mugello" livery, should have made it a complete Honda podium, but the young Italian motorcycle prodigy crashed out of the race on the final lap while holding a safe second place.
At that race, Alex Barros took his first victory of the 2001 season with a careful ride in the most appalling weather conditions. Barros led home his West Honda PONS teammate Loris Capirossi with Max Biaggi third at the end race, which was run in two parts due to the wet conditions.
Only 250 prints of this work of art were produced for worldwide sale. They are on heavy-weight paper, and are easy-to-frame yourself — no mat is needed and each fits into a standard ready-made frame.
