"Can-Am Trumpets"
From the Owen Art Studios' exclusive classic-vintage photo collection, this historic black and white picture of auto racing from the 1960's has been beautifully restored and enhanced.
During the pre-Porsche Can-Am racing years, the big Formula 1 McLaren-Chevy V-8 motor with its staggered intake "trumpets" became the unofficial Can-Am icon. (more below)

More -- The years 1966 to 1974 gave us the Canadian-American Challenge Cup known as the Can-Am, for truly "unlimited" sports car racing. The Series used the FIA Group 7 category with unrestricted engine capacity and allowed turbocharging, supercharging, and practically unrestricted aerodynamics. Can-Am was the birth place and proving ground for (what was at the time) outrageous technology.

Notable drivers in the original Can-Am series included almost every acclaimed racer of the late 60's and early 70's -- Chris Amon, Mario Andretti, Jack Brabham, Mark Donohue, Vic Elford, Masten Gregory, Dan Gurney, Jim Hall, Phil Hill, Denny Hulme, Parnelli Jones, Bruce McLaren, Peter Revson, Pedro Rodriguez, Jackie Stewart and John Surtees.

Customer comments "Denny & Bruce and Can-Am Trumpets arrived today and I am very pleased with their quality. I am also very pleased with the speed of delivery and the pricing... I hope to do business again with you in the future. Thanks again." Bill Mentzinger, Rivervale, NJ
"Yes I did receive the item. I am very happy with it. I am an avid fan of the original Can-Am series and found this 'Trumpet' picture to be a very unique piece. I acquired a glass duel matted frame (left over at work) and I am currently trying to decide if one of my current items or something new would make sense to put in the duel frame with the 'Trumpet' picture." -- John J. Walton, Jr., Lansdale, PA

"Can-Am Trumpets arrived in good order. Very nice. Thanks." -- Terry Classen, Scottsdale, AZ

"Having been involved in the original Can-Am and Trans Am series, this print [Can-Am Trumpets] spoke to me the first time I saw it. It captures the essence of the power these engines created. Great print for a historical time in racing. I just sent it off to the frame shop yesterday, it will be completed in about 3 weeks. I will send you off a photo of the framed print if you wish." -- Robert Madara, Rochester, NY
